Ore Ama Collective

Ore Ama, Basque term for "sourdough," is an interdisciplinary collective founded in Berlin in 2022 by Maddi Fuente Ubani and Ana Kavalis. As performance artists from different generations, disciplines, and cultural backgrounds, they bring together diverse perspectives into a shared artistic language. The Latin American feminist concept of the *body as territory* inspires and sustains their work. They perceive the act of performing as a healing process—for both themselves and society. It is an expression of freedom and exchange that transcends stereotypes and cultural boundaries, fostering connection, intimacy and empathy between performers and audiences. They collaborate with different musicians and artists based in Berlin, such as Darinka Ezeta (actress), Lottie Sebes (musician and performer), Gábor Hartyáni (musician) and Neslihan Schmidt (musician). Some of their works include: “Espíritas Migrantas” (2022), “Monster Me” (2023), “Subterráneas” (2023) and “Homes and Songs” (2024).
