Lisa Robertson

Canadian poet, essayist and translator Lisa Robertson began publishing in the early 90s in Vancouver. Her books include “Debbie: An Epic”, “The Weather”, “The Men”, “R’s Boat”, “Lisa Robertson's Magenta Soul Whip”, and the long poem “Cinema of the Present”. She has two collections of essays, “Nilling”, and “Occasional Works and Seven Walks from the Office for Soft Architecture”. She also extends her work with language and sound beyond the page, into exhibition and performance, often in collaboration with other artists. She has held residencies and visiting fellowships at UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, University of Cambridge, California College of the Arts, Queen Mary University of London, Simon Fraser University, and University of Chicago, and in 2014 she was Bain Swigget visiting Lecturer in Poetry at Princeton University. Her 9th book of poetry, “3 Summers”, is about to be published by Coach House books. She lives in France.
