With four albums released to date, Ebow has long established herself as one of the most important voices in German rap, delivering more than a few anthems for those Millennials and Gen Z listeners for whom the political is simply part of everyday life. As DIE ZEIT once put it, “She writes politically correct and grammatically incorrect lyrics about misogyny in her scene and xenophobia in her country.”
On her 2024 album FC CHAYA, she turns her full attention to the LGBTQIA+ community, offering queer love songs unlike anything previously heard in Germany. Musically, the album moves between indie‑rock influences, R&B and the Y2K‑era aesthetics of cloud rap. In turbulent times, she seems to suggest, no message matters more than love itself.
