The Humboldt-Forum – A Chance for Berlin

In the centre of Berlin, the creation of the Humboldt Forum represents a site where cultures from around the world can enter into dialogue, and where interest is sparked in “foreign” cultures with the aim of strengthening mutual esteem. In a dialogue spanning cultures and civilisations, solutions for a mutual, peaceful, and humane future on our planet will be sought.

For years, highly competent cultural institutions in Berlin have focussed their attention on global cultural and social issues. They have invited ensembles, artists, and performers from each continent, and offered them a platform, or an area for experimentation. Through this, they have developed their own Humboldtian cosmos.

The participants will discuss expectations towards the Humboldt Forum and its future directorship, perspectives for collaboration, possible challenges, and synergy effects.
