The workshop deals with the concept of parasitic architecture and how these ephemeral connections can be constructed as self-sufficient and free-standing systems. The participants will create self-designed connections to the existing pavilions and add new and unexpected connections and layers to the art parcours. Together with the architectural collective umschichten, participants are invited to design these playful, architectural encounters.
umschichten visualizes theories, problems or a constellation of men and material by thinking about urban identities and the representation of different social and cultural groups in a city. umschichten works in Hamburg, Stuttgart and Berlin.
