Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui: Babels-Träume

The film-makers have followed Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui to the locations which have shaped his successful dance works such as Foi, Myth or Babel: to Antwerp, the city he has known since he was a child, to Calvi and to Madras, where he rehearses a collaboration with an Indian kuchipudi dancer. They also visit China where Cherkaoui is taught the virtuoso art of kung fu by the monks of a Shaolin Temple – and he develops his play Sutra with them.
