EPA Turned into Music

Addressing the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between the EU and the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP), this German-Kenyan coproduction combines personal thoughts and stories of affected farmers in the East African countries and material from interviews with economists and politicians into a musical-documentary collage of voices. The work focuses on uncovering the aggressive nature of the EU’s economic policies, which have significant effects on the living conditions of the people in these countries, directly maintains destitution and ultimately becomes one of the reasons why people flee from these regions.
