One on One on One

It would be hard to imagine the Theatertreffen without the short films that photographer and director Marcus Gaab has been producing for the festival since 2015. One actor, one camera, one scene – that’s all it takes! Every year, one actor from each of the ten selected productions is invited to shoot a short video with Marcus Gaab. The protagonists are free to decide in which form and by which devices they would like to present the core of their respective production. The results are intimate, surprising and sometimes absurdly funny insights into personalities, productions and the theatre as such. The films will be presented at the Bornemann Bar on the Theatertreffen’s opening day and can be watched on monitors throughout the Haus der Berliner Festspiele for the entire duration of the Theatertreffen, or on www.1on1on1.tv.
