The Alfred-Kerr-Acting-Award recognises the outstanding achievement by a young actor in one of the productions invited to the Theatertreffen.
The Alfred-Kerr-Acting-Award celebrates its 25th anniversary! It was initiated in 1991 by Judith and Michael Kerr, Berliner Festspiele / Theatertreffen and Pressestiftung Tagesspiegel and recognises the outstanding achievement by a young actor in one of the productions invited to the Theatertreffen. It is handed out at the Theatertreffen’s conclusion. In 2019, theatre and film actor Franz Rogowski is the juror, and director Susanne Kennedy will hold the manifest speech.
The award is endowed by Alfred-Kerr-Stiftung.
