This year’s Stückemarkt-motto asks the question: „What is the future worth (to us)?” Is it worth to fight for a future? Which spaces for possibilities can we imagine and how can we reach them together?

The future, once considered to be a worthwhile and malleable perspective full of possibilities, is shaped by fundamental political and cultural change. Two years of living with a pandemic has potentiated the long existing and increasing flaws in our communal life and made them visible. At this point, we find ourselves in the middle of several crises at once: climate change, consolidating anti-democratic and authoritarian tendencies, persisting discrimination, systemic irrelevance, uncoordinated digitisation. How can and should we go on?
