What does theatre look like in Alexandria or Quezon City, Timișoara or Langenthal? In performative mini lectures, the 34 aspiring artists of the International Forum each use a photo to offer an impression of their working worlds and ways of thinking.
These mini sessions find a creative way to present artistic questions in local and global contexts. Around the world in 180 minutes, with opportunities for informal conversations along the way.
The International Forum is a platform for global exchange that sparks collaborations, alliances and a search for manifold local perspectives on a range of global issues. It has been bringing together aspiring artists from all continents in Berlin since 1965 to watch theatre together, share their thoughts, to experiment and make contacts.
The International Forum takes place in cooperation with Goethe-Institut, the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, the Austrian Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport and the Kultur | lx – Arts Council Luxembourg. It is supported by the German Stage Association.
