EALA

Born Eva-Angeliki Latrovali, EALA has spent a lifetime getting closer to her music. After playing the piano and saxophone as a child, she quickly took up singing and songwriting. EALA took her first steps as an artist with the stage name “Prestine Vergine”, under which she released the single “Blut”. This led to countless collaborations with different musicians, with whom the young singer experimented and found her style. However, it soon became clear that artificial figures such as “Prestine” did not offer the freedom for an authentic sound and rousing self-reflection. Her first single as EALA, “Rauchen ist tödlich”, which was released on 13 October 2023, is the expression of her very personal protest. In her debut, EALA cynically sings about the omnipresent fears of the future of Gen Z. The soundscape created by producer Chris Trumpf embeds EALA’s characteristically smoky voice in a dystopian, unconventional sound. The single joins her first releases in the form of a live session. The “Leergut-Sessions” are a four-part YouTube format, which was created in collaboration with a total of twelve instrumentalists and can now be heard everywhere as an EP. While the live sessions are more of a pop-rock spectrum, her distinctive voice and unique lyrics form the common thread in her works. Musically free and to the point, EALA is a newcomer to keep an eye on.
