Concert
41st Treffen junge Musikszene

A highlight of the Treffen junge Musikszene is the public concert of the award winners. The jury has selected four bands, one duo and eight soloists as remarkable and exemplary for this year's meeting, who will be on stage that evening.
This year's selection is very diverse and energetic, with a wide range of styles and bold experiments in the development of individual musical signatures: urban rock, crossover, but also earthy rock and new metal are represented, as well as catchy pop songs, intimate ballads and psychedelic folk songs. There are influences from jazz, soul, R'n'B, electronics and country. The songs are about personal feelings, love and fear. They relentlessly describe everyday urban situations, the challenges and excessive demands of other people and the future, courage, the longing for beautiful moments and lightness. The musicians also express social criticism, politics and feminism in their songs and vent their anger about sexualisation and sexual assault. Sometimes they sound fragile and quiet, then again direct and loud.
