Dutch artist Pelle Schilling, born 1996 in Amsterdam, crafts kinetic installations that reveal the poetic essence of physical phenomena. Through his immersive work, he orchestrates delicate conversations between mechanical systems, sound and spatial dynamics, inviting audiences into moments of pure sensorial revelation. At the heart of Schilling’s practice lies a profound respect for the viewer’s autonomy in creating meaning – rather than prescribing interpretations, he designs environments where significance emerges naturally through intimate dialogue between observer and artwork. His installations function as instruments that compose with natural forces and mechanical movements, creating spaces for direct experience and wonder where audiences are free to discover their own connections through unmediated, sensorial encounter. He has exhibited work at renowned Dutch festivals such as Rewire, Into The Great Wide Open and Uncloud, he also showed work at institutes like Kunstenlab and Centraal Museum. Schilling is supported by Mondriaan Fonds.
