Talk with audience 27 November, after the performance

“We stole nothing, just a nail / from Jesus’ bleeding palm”, goes the Hungarian Roma folk song quoted in the title. Eight individual episodes tell the story of 2000 years of Gypsy history and the prejudices and debasement they have faced, from their departure from India, to Auschwitz, to the present day. This action-packed review with almost forty actors on stage is held together by explosive live music and close-knit choreography. The piece was created using the collective method for which the Csiky Gergely Theatre in Kaposvár is known.
