“Wolf” is the opus magnum of Les Ballets C. de la B founded by Alain Platel; a hard-hitting contrast programme between classical music and contemporary, realistic stage action. Music and theatre are not here to serve one another. It would be best to view “Wolf” in the assumption that one is looking out of the window and observing what is going on in the street. Everything is danced to perfection and meticulously staged. Yet it seems so natural that it repeatedly comes as a surprise when the seemingly formless hustle and bustle come together as a scene. Platel and Mozart are humanists for whom human nature holds no surprises. In „Wolf” one can see through their eyes and listen with their ears to what life is all about.
