Lene Wollwerth, born in Berlin in 2002, completed a voluntary social year in culture in 2020/2021, working in the theatre education department of the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin. In 2021, Lene founded the independent theatre group Elektrolyse with Emma Jörgeling. Together they wrote and directed the play ICH BIN ROT, for which they were award winners at the Theatertreffen der Jugend 2023.
Since October 2022, Lene has been studying Acting and Art Studies at the Braunschweig University of Art. During her studies, she developed the performance grenze der geschmacklosigkeit, which was invited to the RENE Festival in Braunschweig in 2025.
Together with Luzie Vieler and her newly founded collective die biestigen Biester, she developed the play scannen. zahlen. stöhnen. in 2006 as part of the SCHREDDER emerging theatre festival at the Theaterhaus Hildesheim. In her work, Lene focuses on feminist and socially critical themes and specifically addresses areas where she perceives gaps.
