June 1967. The UN has declared a ceasefire between Israel and Egypt. During the final hours of the Six-Day War four Egyptian soldiers are withdrawing from battle. One of them is wounded and dies on the way. Another refuses to accept that the fighting is over and wants to continue his own personal war against Israel. He is killed by his brother-in-arms Hassan in the course of an altercation. Hassan and Khalid, an actor, set out on the arduous trek from the Sinai Desert to the Suez Canal. On the way they experience absurd and tragic events.
