One day, a small boy who sells handkerchiefs on the street, sees a young woman crying and gives her a pack of his handkerchiefs. However, as she goes to give him some money, he does not accept it. Instead, he asks her for something else...(A.W.)

Work is being done on the symbol of Turkey: the crescent-shaped moon. The final polish with an electric angle-grinder saw is accompanied by a melody from Yann Thiersen from the film “Amelie”. The saw’s disc-grinder is something very special. (A.W.)

The film portrays various young people in Istanbul who explain why they cannot be happy living in this city. However, they are not frustrated or depressive, but rather simply live in and with these circumstances. The interviews are accompanied by fast-paced, chaotic footage and techno beats that attempt to reflect the modern, hectic, alienating and therefore perhaps not-so-satisfying side of the city. (A.W.)
