Mahmut, formerly a committed photographer, now earns his living by taking pictures for advertising brochures. He is divorced and hardly has any social contacts. One day, Yusuf appears, a relative from Mahmut’s home town that he left years ago. Yusuf is unemployed and seeks a job on a ship. Until he finds work, he is supposed to live with Mahmut. Mahmut’s perfect little world, his strict daily routine and his delusional sense of order, packaged in a supposedly intellectual way of life, are disrupted by Yusuf’s presence. Increasingly, Mahmut realizes that Yusuf’s simple life and failure, his youthful chaos, is holding a mirror up to his own life. (Press release)
