The Car Park Garden at the Gropius Bau invites visitors to reflect on the role nature plays in urban space. This event will focus on the topic of Mundraub (harvesting of food in public space) in the city: After a short theoretical introduction, we will take a practical walk in the neighbourhood and get to know the area around the Gropius building from its edible side.

The focus is on a wide variety of questions relating to the subject of Mundraub: How healthy is the fruit harvested in the middle of the city – and to what extent do legal considerations need to be taken into account?
After this one-hour workshop you will see the city through different eyes: Waste land will turn into herb beds, playgrounds into orchards.

With Magda Zahn (mundraub)
Magda Zahn's love for nature goes through her stomach: The certified city nature guide and freelancer at mundraub has been organizing Mundraub tours for six years. Culinary expeditions through the edible city offer explanations and invite you to discover, taste and marvel. Because well-known and unknown fruits and herbs grow not only on the outskirts or in the country, but also in the middle of the neighbourhood.
