This June, the programme trans/national of Revolverkino at the Gropius Bau is showing feature films, documentaries and essay films, which focus on national borders and the attempt to transcend them. What significance do transnational identities hold in contemporary cinema? How does the nation state shape consciousness? What concepts of reality does the experience of exile produce? And: How are spaces of possibility formed online? With films by Nele Wohlatz, Eduardo Williams, Gerhard Friedl, Hito Steyerl and Nadav Lapid.
