Offering the opportunity to collaboratively read and discuss texts, a reading group accompanies the exhibition Masculinities: Liberation through Photography. In this first session, we will address and seek to dismantle the gender binary.

Registration was possible until 9 November. The event is fully booked.

Drawing our inspiration from Alok Vaid-Menon’s recently published book, Beyond the Gender Binary (2020), we will discuss how different forms of gender expression can be recognised and affirmed. We will also look at how masculinity is performed and queered in some of the photographs in the exhibition Masculinities: Liberation through Photography.
