O Movimento das Coisas (The Movement of Things) examines the everyday routines of three families in a small village in northern Portugal: women tell each other stories and prepare food; a father cuts down a tree while his children watch; and young Isabel looks to the future. A film about the passing of time – silence and life – in which changes are only tentatively revealed at first glance.
