Opening

Nancy Holt: Circles of Light & Pallavi Paul: How Love Moves

Opening with Free Admission to the Exhibitions

On 21 March, we are celebrating the start of our spring programme and the opening of Nancy Holt: Circles of Light and Pallavi Paul: How Love Moves with free admission to the exhibitions and a set by DJ Cajoux.

With Circles of Light, the Gropius Bau opens Nancy Holt’s most comprehensive survey exhibition in Germany to date. It includes film, video, photography, audioworks, concrete poetry, sculptures and expansive installations, as well as drawings and photoworks from over 25 years that explore the poetics of space and our role within the cosmos.

In How Love Moves, Pallavi Paul’s unique cinematic practice is in dialogue with spatial installations especially conceived for the Gropius Bau. Her first major solo exhibition premiers newly produced films that braid together the contemporary health-care crises to the historical echoes of tuberculosis in early 20th-century Germany alongside earlier works. It turns to illness not as a metaphor but as an ethical, spiritual and biopolitical phenomenon, in Berlin, New Delhi and beyond.
