Long Night of Museums at Gropius Bau

Once a year, Gropius Bau opens its doors from 18:00 to 2:00 during the Long Night of Museums and invites visitors to explore the current exhibitions.

During this year’s Long Night of Museums, you can take the Red Line buses to reach the Gropius Bau. Schedule and further details are available on the official website of the LongNight of Museums Berlin.

As part of the Long Night of Museums, Gropius Bau presents the exhibitions YOKO ONO: MUSIC OF THE MIND and Vaginal Davis: Fabelhaftes Produkt. In addition, BAUBAU, our free play space for kids, will stay open from 18:00 for adults. The programme is complemented by four architectural tours in English and German language through the historic building.

Marking twenty years since artist, writer and performer Vaginal Davis made Berlin her home, Gropius Bau presents the first comprehensive solo exhibition of her work in Germany. In her expansive oeuvre, punk meets glamour, queer activism meets Black counter-culture and resistance meets desire. Vaginal Davis: Fabelhaftes Produkt features seven large-scale installations, offering an overview of Davis’ practice and artistic collaborations.

MUSIC OF THE MIND

11 April to 31 August 2025

Since the 1950s, Yoko Ono has been ahead of her time, leaving her mark on visual arts, music and activism. The comprehensive solo exhibition YOKO ONO: MUSIC OF THE MIND brings together over 200 works from seven decades, revealing her radical approach to language, art and participation that continues to speak to the present moment. During the Long Night of Museums, the exhibition can be visited until 2:00 in the last week of its run.
