As part of Spätschichtx Creamcake, artist duo New Noveta will activate the former main entrance of Gropius Bau with a new, site-specific performance.

Spätschicht – Live Programme at Gropius Bau is a monthly series of free events with an interdisciplinary programme ranging from talks, book discussions and film screenings to concerts and DJ sets. In addition to the performance, on this evening you can also look forward to another performance by Keioui Keijaun Thomas, a screening by CHEAP,  a DJ set by Larry and concerts by Evita Manji and otay:onii.

New Noveta is an interdisciplinary artist duo formed in London in 2011. Collaborating across choreography, performance, installation and image-making, Keira Fox and Ellen Freed’s work is centered around labour and sociopolitical unrest and struggle. They create site-specific interventions through embodied characterizations, costuming, props and sound.

Notable international presentations by New Noveta include their solo exhibition and performance Fateful at Kunstverein Freiburg (2018), participation in Keren Cytter's Cold Summer at Ludwig Forum (2022) and contributions to the Ester Krumbachova retrospective at House of Arts, Brno (2021). Fox and Freed’s projects often feature collaborations with the likes of Sophie Sleigh-Johnson, Astrid Gnosis and Susu Laroche among others, and have been shown at prominent venues including SMK Copenhagen, Ludwig Forum, and Synagogue de Delme, France. Recent work includes Nothing New at Beau Travail, Stockholm (2025).
