To wrap up Spätschichtx Creamcake on the south terrace, musician and vocalist Evita Manji brings their carefully constructed practice of choral-led synthesis and sound design to create ever-growing sonic entities. There is no beginning or end, only an eternal process of becoming and unbecoming.

Spätschicht – Live Programme at Gropius Bau is a monthly series of free events with an interdisciplinary programme ranging from talks, book discussions and film screenings to concerts and DJ sets. In addition to the concert, on this evening you can also look forward to a screening by CHEAP, performances by New Noveta and Keioui Keijaun Thomas, a DJ set by Larry and a concert by otay:onii.

Evita Manji is an Athens-based musician and vocalist connecting the dots between the human experience, climate change, quantum physics, and death, in an attempt to dig deeper into the primordial truth of existence. Their practice fabricates musical worlds consisting of ever-expanding sonic organisms and shapeless solid non-materials. Manji released their OIL/TOO MUCH and EYES/NOT ENOUGH singles on their own myxoxym platform, before dropping their debut LP Spandrel? via PAN in 2023, and featuring on SOPHIE’s posthumously-released self-titled album in 2024. They have performed across Europe and at festivals like Unsound in Kraków, Lunchmeat in Prague, Sonic Territories in Vienna, and Mutek in Montreal, among others. Manji has worked with numerous artists across media at galleries like Kunsthalle Basel and Saigon Athens. They also collaborate with research duo Dmstfctn.
