Spätschicht x Ligia Lewis will be rounded off by a live concert by artist Slauson Malone 1 in the atrium of Gropius Bau.
On the evening of the fifth edition of Spätschicht, Slauson Malone 1 (Jasper Marsalis) presents an audiovisual performance featuring songs spanning his career. He will be accompanied by longtime collaborator and cellist Nicky Wetherell.
Slauson Malone 1 (SM1) is the musical and performance project of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and visual artist Jasper Marsalis. SM1 explores the ways in which popular music comes into contact with performance art. His recent album Excelsior follows the critically acclaimed A Quiet Farewell, 2016-2018 (Crater Speak) and 2020’s Vergangenheitsbewältigung (Crater Speak), which considered the simultaneous inaccessibility and continuous presence of the past.
