On the occasion of the exhibition Peter Hujar / Liz Deschenes: Persistence of Vision, we, in collaboration with Museumsdienst, are inviting you to join us for a family workshop exploring the theme of body and photography.

What processes lie behind a photograph? And what influence can physical experience and the circumstances at hand have? Following a brief introduction to the artistic work of Peter Hujar and Liz Deschenes, participants will explore the exhibition independently. In doing so, they examine the question of how the space functions as an architectural environment in which the works are displayed. These impressions then flow into creative experiments with collage and drawing that question the material boundaries of the medium of photography.

During the event, photographs and video recordings may be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by emailing post@gropiusbau.de. Upon withdrawal, the photographs and recordings will no longer be used.
