For the June edition of Spätschicht, we are collaborating with İÇ İÇE Festival for contemporary Anatolian music to present their open-air community format BİZ BİZE at Gropius Bau. The free live programme takes over part of the building as well as the south terrace, featuring a talk, a dance performance, concerts, stand-up comedy and DJ sets.

BİZ BİZE (Turkish for “among ourselves”) is the open-air community format of İÇ İÇE Festival and takes place this year in cooperation with Gropius Bau. In 2026, BİZ BİZE invites audiences for the fourth time to an intervention in public space – as a moment of coming together, listening and shared experience. The format is created by the community and addresses a diverse audience, while deliberately operating beyond the expectations of the majority society. Between music, talks and performance, it creates an open space where different perspectives coexist, interact and form new connections. BİZ BİZE evokes the evening before a wedding, when the inner circle of friends and family gathers ahead of the big day: a moment of preparation, closeness and trust – just among ourselves.

Spätschicht x İÇ İÇE Festival is curated by Melissa Kolukisagil, artistic director of İÇ İÇE Festival and developer of live programmes at Stadtmuseum Berlin, in collaboration with the curatorial team of Gropius Bau: Nora-Swantje Almes, Alexandra Philippovskaya, Aylin Himmetoglu, Edona Kryeziu, Elena Franziska Setzer and Savannah Thümler.
