The Alfred-Kerr-Acting-Award recognises the outstanding achievement by a young actor in one of the productions invited to the Theatertreffen. This year's juror is the Swiss theatre and film actor Bettina Stucky.

This award comes with a sum of 5,000 Euro and will be awarded for the 29th time on the final weekend of the festival at Haus der Berliner Festspiele.

The Alfred-Kerr-Acting-Award was initiated in memory of the Berlin theatre critic Alfred Kerr by his children Judith and Michael Kerr in 1991, together with Pressestiftung Tagesspiegel and Berliner Festspiele / Theatertreffen. It is offered by the Alfred Kerr Foundation with support from Berliner Festspiele. Further supporters are Verlag Der Tagesspiegel, the Hartung family and Gustav Kiepenheier Bühnenvertriebs-GmbH.

Every year, a different renowned theatre personality is the award’s juror.
