The Podcast Playground is an interactive space designed to spark your imagination and guide you through the art of podcasting. Set against the backdrop of the Rirkrit Tiravanija exhibition at Gropius Bau, this space invites you to explore, learn, experiment, create and connect in a fun and hands-on environment. Whether you’re brainstorming podcast ideas, experimenting with sound, learning to use the MethodKit for Podcasts or playing podcast ping pong, this space is yours to explore.
The Podcast Playground is for anyone curious about storytelling, sound and collaboration. It is an initiative by DW Akademie – Deutsche Welle’s center for international media development, journalism training and knowledge transfer – created in collaboration with MethodKit, a Swedish publisher of educational tools.
The workshop takes place on a demo station by Rirkrit Tiravanija. The stage-like sculpture invites people to “demonstrate” something. Tiravanija plays with the different meanings of the term “demonstration” as both a political protest and a presentation of someone’s talent or hobby. For the duration of the exhibition, the demo station provides a space for daily public performances.
During the event, photographs, audio and video recordings will be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition.
