Widely regarded as one of the most original and influential artists of the 20th century, Diane Arbus’ bold black-and-white photographs demolish aesthetic conventions and upend all certainties. With Diane Arbus: Konstellationen, Gropius Bau presents from 16 October 2025 to 18 January 2026 the most comprehensive exhibition of her work to date. Featuring 454 prints, many of them shown here for the first time, Konstellationen offers new perspectives on Arbus’ iconic images and the wide range of her portraiture.

At the same time, the exhibition Ligia Lewis: I’M NOT HERE FORRRRR… opens on the ground floor and in the atrium of Gropius Bau. Ligia Lewis is a central figure in redefining performance within the context of the visual arts. In her multifaceted practice, she combines performance, live installation and film. From autumn 2025, Gropius Bau presents the artist and choreographer’s most comprehensive solo exhibition to date. It brings together new and existing works that explore themes of race, gender, violence and resistance.

Ghana-born, London-raised and now Berlin-based Yazzus is a DJ and producer with a love for high energy, bouncy electronic music that spans different textures and tempos. Known for her bitchy techno, Yazzus is well versed in the realm of sexiness, attitude and spunk and has taken influence from the 1990s and early 2000s acting as a force for resurrection with a sensual, afrofuturist mindset. Yazzus has recently joined the seminal underground queer party Mala Junta as their latest resident. She has also been curating Black Metropolis at Tresor, featuring an all Black line-up, continuing her mission to highlight the origins of techno.

During the event, photographs and video recordings may be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition.
