To conclude Spätschicht x Volksbühne, Cortisa Star performs live outside of Gropius Bau, giving her only concert in Germany during her tour. The rapper’s tracks are a snapshot of her generation, caught between empowerment, overwhelm, and peak digital fluency. They explore social inequality, personal struggles and the realities of everyday life in the digital age.

Spätschicht – Live Programme at Gropius Bau is a monthly series of free events with an interdisciplinary programme ranging from talks, book discussions and film screenings to concerts and DJ sets. In addition to the concert, on this evening you can also look forward to another concert by Dylan Kerr, a DJ set by Bobby Beethoven, the book launch of On Dangerous Grounds by Vaginal Davis and a screening by CHEAP.

Cortisa Star’s music blends hard-hitting rap with powerful storytelling, making waves online and earning her a plethora of co-signs from Charlie XCX to Lil Nas X and many others. Known for her unapologetic lyricism and unique sound, she’s been recognized for pushing boundaries in both her artistry and her identity as a trans woman in a space that’s often resistant to change.

During the event, photographs and video recordings may be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition.
