The live music programme of Spätschicht x Volksbühne opens with a concert by Dylan Kerr on Gropius Bau’s south terrace.

Spätschicht – Live Programme at Gropius Bau is a monthly series of free events with an interdisciplinary programme ranging from talks, book discussions and film screenings to concerts and DJ sets. In addition to the concert, on this evening you can also look forward to another concert by Cortisa Star, a DJ set by Bobby Beethoven, the book launch of On Dangerous Grounds by Vaginal Davis and a screening by CHEAP.

Dylan Kerr is an artist working between performance and sound. Their practice is deeply attuned to place, often creating works that engage with the unique resonant qualities and histories of specific environments. They combine process-based methods, microtonality, and extended vocal techniques to explore phenomena such as interference patterns and the interplay between the voice and space. At Spätschicht x Volksbühne, they will present Substratum, a composition for voice and fixed electronics that draws inspiration from the Hindustani Dhrupad tradition.

During the event, photographs and video recordings may be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition.
