The person is wearing a light T-shirt, jeans, and dark shoes. In the background, semi-transparent curtains and leafy branches extend into the frame. The floor appears soft and textured.

As part of Spätschicht x İÇ İÇE Festival, a concert by BRKN is taking place on the south terrace of Gropius Bau. As a singer, producer and songwriter from Berlin-Kreuzberg, BRKN blends rap, soul and contemporary pop into a distinctive sound. His music moves between emotional openness and social reflection, finding a language for experiences that emerge between different forms of belonging.

Spätschicht – Live Programme at Gropius Bau is a monthly series of free events with an interdisciplinary programme ranging from talks, book discussions and film screenings to concerts and DJ sets. In addition to the concert, you can experience two DJ sets by Katscha and DJ Ipek, a talk with Thao Ho and Tarek Shukrallah, two performances by Mila Panić and Saeed Asadsangabi and concert by Intibint.

Born in Berlin-Kreuzberg and rooted in Turkey, Armenia, and Kurdistan, BRKN began early on to play piano and saxophone and to produce his own music. Tours across German-speaking countries and collaborations with artists like Alligatoah and Herbert Grönemeyer have shaped his artistic path. His music explores themes like mental health and masculinity.

During the event, photographs and video recordings may be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition.
