The music programme of Spätschicht x İÇ İÇE Festival opens with a concert by Intibint. Her practice spans music, visual art and performance, shaped by diasporic experiences both personal and collective. For this Spätschicht, Intibint will be performing an acoustic set joined by guitarist Manvel.

Spätschicht – Live Programme at Gropius Bau is a monthly series of free events with an interdisciplinary programme ranging from talks, book discussions and film screenings to concerts and DJ sets. In addition to the concert, you can experience two DJ sets by Katscha and DJ Ipek, a talk with Thao Ho and Tarek Shukrallah, two performances by Saeed Asadsangabi and Mila Panić and a concert by BRKN.

Musically rooted in the electronic spectrum, UK-based singer-songwriter Intibint moves fluidly between downtempo, alt-R&B and hip-hop, weaving in elements of Yemeni sonic traditions. Her live set brings together vocals, field recordings, original productions and reinterpretations of traditional and revolutionary songs from Yemen, Palestine and Sudan. These sounds merge into a sonic landscape that speaks of intimacy and political urgency.

Manuel Asratian is a Berlin-based guitarist making indie music in his native Armenian. His work draws on experiments with electric guitar as well as traditional instruments from Armenia, Anatolia and the wider Middle East, weaving their textures into a contemporary sound.

During the event, photographs and video recordings may be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition.
