Katscha and DJ Ipek bring together different club traditions, diasporic sound practices and electronic music in their sets. As part of of Spätschicht x İÇ İÇE Festival, they play two DJ sets on the south terrace of Gropius Bau.

Spätschicht – Live Programme at Gropius Bau is a monthly series of free events with an interdisciplinary programme ranging from talks, book discussions and film screenings to concerts and DJ sets. In addition to the DJ sets, you can experience a talk with Thao Ho and Tarek Shukrallah, two performances by Mila Panić and Saeed Asadsangabi and two concerts by Intibint and BRKN.

Katscha is part of the İÇ İÇE Festival team and is known for triggering endless Halay dance circles, turning the space into collective movement. His sets move seamlessly between bass-heavy, experimental, and transnational club sounds, weaving unexpected connections across genres and geographies. The closing set imagines the Gropius Bau’s south terrace as an extension of club, community and shared experience.

DJ Ipek is part of the legendary Berlin-based format Gayhane at SO36, which has been shaping queer and migrant club culture for years. Her sets offer a musical journey blending traditional sounds with electronic beats and edits from Anatolia and the SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) region. She combines Psychedelic Turkish Funk with disco, Çiftetelli with house, Kurdish Halay with electronic music, as well as 9/8 rhythms with Baile Funk and techno. With her signature Kozmik AnaDolu sound, she creates a hybrid, high-energy and political club sound.

During the event, photographs and video recordings may be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition.
